What is Piedmont Winterfest?

Piedmont Winterfest is a fun community event that brings families and individuals to Downtown Greensboro during a 2.5 month winter season. Winterfest events include an outdoor ice rink, spectator seating, and plenty of photo opportunities. Tuesday nights also feature a curling league.

Piedmont Winterfest is a public-private partnership organized by City of Grace Solutions LLC in partnership with Downtown Greensboro Incorporated and Greensboro Ice House.

Piedmont Winterfest’s 2023-24 location is located in LeBauer Park in downtown Greensboro. It is located along N. Davie St., where the splash pad is during the summer months.

What is the admission cost to ice skate at Piedmont Winterfest?

Regular admission is $15 per person, regardless of age. See our "Pricing" page for more details on individual and group rates. Prices remain the same whether you bring your own skates or use ours.

Where can I park?

The nearest parking deck is the Church St. Parking Deck. After parking, customers can walk through the park to reach the rink.

Can I book a group/birthday party during a public session?

GROUPS

We do not pre-book large group reservations during public sessions at this time. Groups are welcome to attend any session, and purchase tickets at the register. Groups of 10 or more skaters receive 15% off their admission and skate rental! Groups must all pay together on one order (tickets bought at same time).

PRIVATE ICE

If you would like to arrange a private ice reservation, please email piedmontwinterfest@gmail.com with inquiries. Private groups can have as many skaters as they would like, with no additional charge for skate rental, and free use of skate trainers (red walkers)! Private rentals are $350 per hour.
